| Head Coach Brian Hanslow is a 1991 graduate of Lincoln Community High School, where he was a three sport letter winner in football, basketball, and baseball. In 1990-91 he was a Big Twelve Conference selection in Football at left guard and at second base in Baseball, along with being team captain. After high school he attended Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL. He was a member of the Blueboys baseball team for two seasons. In 1993 Coach Hanslow transferred to Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL. He graduated in 1996 with a B.S. degree in physical education and a minor in safety and driver education. Coach Hanslow was hired at Southwestern high school in 1996. He teaches athletic physical education. He also is the Head Middle School Baseball coach for the Piasa Birds. In the Summer months Coach Hanslow coaches the 18 & under Brighton Southwest League Baseball Team, along with his son's 11U Team Illini Baseball Team, in the Southwestern Illinois Baseball League. Coach Hanslow is also coaching the 5th Grade JFL football team, and the 5th grade Piasa Bird Fastbreak basketball team. Coach Hanslow has been married to his wife, Tiffany, for tweleve years, and they have two children, Ryne (10), and Chloe (8). In his spare time he enjoys going to Wrigley Field each summer to watch the Cubs, swimming, watching sports on TV, working on the website www.piasabirds.com and spending time with his family. He is looking forward to another successful baseball season in 2012 with a great group of young men.
